Comedian AVS passes away


Well-known actor Amanchi Venkata Subramanyam, popularly known as AVS, passed away this evening (Nov 8, 2013) at his residence in Hyderabad. He was 56 and survived by a wife and two children. He was suffering from liver related problems.Couple of years ago he was diagnosed with a liver problem. The doctors operated him and took a part of his liver. Using a part of his daughter's liver they did successful liver transplantation. After the successful operation he returned to acting. Recently he fell down at a function and his family took him to the hospital immediately. The doctors told that both his kidneys have ceased working.The doctors told the family that any medication was not working on him. Following their advice the family had shifted him home. He breathed his last at his residence at Manikonda in Hyderabad. AVS who shot to fame with Bapu directed Mr.Pellam in 1993 he had acted in more than 400 films. In 1990s, he ruled as comedian along with Brahmanandam, Ali and Kota Srinivasa Rao. He has played in many remarkable comedy characters in Subhalagnam, Yamaleela, Vinodam, Pelli Sandandi, Indra, etc.He was also a writer, producer and director. Super Heroes, Orni Prema Bangaram Kanu, Kotimooka, Roommates were his directorial ventures. He introduced music director Manisharma with his directorial venture Super Heroes. He also produced a film with Tarun as hero titled Uncle. Rangu Paduddi, Tutti, Tiffineelu Chesara, Coffee Taagara. some of these catchy dialogues uttered by in films have come into usage of daily lives of Telugus.
